Accident & Emergency, Wansbeck Hospital
Creating an efficient environment was paramount in the redesign and extension of Wansbeck General Hospital's busy Accident and Emergency department. The impressive new building includes two state-of-the-art clean air flow theatres in the large two storey extension to the front façade of the hospital.
Clever replanning of significant areas within the existing building allowed for additional examination rooms, cubicles and sophisticated resuscitation rooms, greatly improving the level of care and facilities available to patients.
